What is a Combo OLT?
Does it mean EPON and GPON?
A Combo OLT means that it combines GPON and XGS-PON networks, whereas it supports 2.4G and 10G PON networks.
A Combo OLT can work in GPON mode if you insert a GPON ONU, or if you insert an XG-PON 10G ONU, then it works on one network.
Is it good to use a Combo OLT or a separate XGS-PON network?
Yes, it's better to use a Combo OLT, because the old network (GPON) should also be able to run, and if any new customer wants to upgrade to a 10G PON network, they can do so easily.
