Why OTDR is Not Showing Correct Results?

  1. Connector is not clean ( OTDR' Connector ) 
  2. Patch cord is dirty (use a one-click cleaner).
  3. OTDR Connector UPC / but using Patch cord SC APC or OTDR APC / Patch cord UPC 
  4. Incorrect test parameters (pulse width, range, wavelength, auto/manual mode).
  5. Lack of basic OTDR knowledge.
  6. Connector end faces are not properly cleaned before testing.
  7. Not using proper OTDR cleaning tools.
  8. Battery power is less than 20% 

Remember: Fiber testing = 70% cleaning + 30% testing knowledge.
