SFP 1.25G BIDI 20KM 1550TX/1310RX LC
"SFP 1.25G BIDI 20KM 1550TX/1310RX LC" refers to a specific type of small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver module designed for optical communication networks. Here's what each part of the description means:
SFP: Small Form-factor Pluggable. This indicates the form factor and interface type of the transceiver module. SFP modules are hot-pluggable and widely used in networking equipment.
1.25G: This denotes the data transfer rate supported by the transceiver, which is 1.25 Gigabits per second.
BIDI: Short for bidirectional. This indicates that the transceiver is capable of bidirectional communication over a single fiber optic strand by using different wavelengths for upstream and downstream traffic.
20KM: This specifies the maximum distance over which the transceiver can reliably transmit data, which in this case is 20 kilometers.
1550TX/1310RX: These numbers represent the wavelengths used for transmitting (TX) and receiving (RX) data. Specifically, data is transmitted at 1550 nanometers (TX) and received at 1310 nanometers (RX).
LC refers to the type of optical connector used with this transceiver. LC connectors are commonly used in fiber optic networks due to their small size and low insertion loss.

General Description
Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers are compatible with the Small Form Factor Pluggable Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA). The transceiver consists of five sections: the LD driver, the limiting amplifier, the digital diagnostic monitor, the FP laser, and the PIN photo-detector. The module data link up to 20km in 9/125um single mode fiber. The optical output can be disabled by a TTL logic high-level input of Tx Disable, and the
system also can disable the module via I2C. Tx Fault is provided to indicate the degradation of the laser. Loss of signal (LOS) output is provided to indicate the loss of an input optical signal from the receiver or the link status with the partner. The system can also get the LOS (or link) or disable/fault information via I2C register access.
In summary, the SFP 1.25G BIDI 20KM 1550TX/1310RX LC is a hot-pluggable transceiver module capable of bidirectional communication at a data rate of 1.25 gigabits per second over a single fiber optic strand, with a maximum transmission distance of 20 kilometers. It uses 1550 nanometers for transmission and 1310 nanometers for reception and utilizes LC optical connectors.
