The SC/APC pre-polished fast connector comes pre-adjusted from the factory, with field-installable connectors that completely eliminate the need for hand polishing in the field. Proven mechanical splicing technology ensures precise fiber alignment, a factory-prepared fiber end, and a combination of patented index matching gel to provide immediate low-loss termination for single-mode or multimode optical fibers.
The Field Assembly Connector series is already a popular solution for optical cabling within buildings and floors for LAN and CCTV applications, and with the expansion of FTTH, it is already proving to be the connector of choice for incumbents, municipalities, utilities, and alternative operators. Our series of optical connectors for field assembly is now available in SC, LC, or FC variants for single-mode and multimode fiber types ranging from 250um to 900um and 2.0mm to 3.0mm in diameter, including 62.5/125um multimode and 50/125um multimode. Single-mode versions are available with SPC or APC ferrules.
